Hudson Valley Auctioneers, located at 432 Main Street, Beacon, New York will present an unreserved antique and estate auction with absentee, phone and online bidding through Liveauctioneers.com on Monday November 24th at 5:00 PM EST. In house previews are Sunday November 23rd from 1pm-5pm and Monday from 2:00pm-4:30 pm or by appointment beginning 11/17. The auction features the West Nyack estate of Charles W. Yeiser, former owner of The Far Gallery, NYC along with a long held storage unit from Cold Spring. Another eclectic offering of nearly 500 lots of fresh to the market goods.
Expect to find many artworks by Charles Weiser, painted during his student days and throughout his professional career including life drawings and finished oils. Additionally, as the Far Gallery owner and director, he supported and promoted several artists' works as well as offering fine prints, books and the like. Works include artists Kenneth Frazier, A. Canella, John Falato, Edith Munroe, Marvin Hayes, August Mosca, Julian Barrow, Frank Boyd, Gabriel Spat, Hank Virgona, Charles Wells and several others. Artworks from other consigners include works by M. Charles, Werner Schier, Robert Emmet Owen, Raphael Soyer, and Theodore Haupt.
Yeiser also collected antiques and other items of interest including several early oil portraits, decorative and antique furniture including a large easel and iron base drafting table and artifacts from South America, Greece,
China and Asia.
Mid Century Modern offerings in the sale include a pair of Paul McCobb "shovel" chairs, a pair of Robert John steel frame chairs, a Cherner bent ply classic and three Sonnemen chrome chandeliers.
Country smalls will include country store showcases, stoneware, textiles, a fine horse weathervane, a selection of Persian and Asian carpets, clocks, several fine bronzes, vintage tin signs, sterling flatware, Baltimore hollow ware and US silver and gold currency.
Other highlights include a collection of art glass bell shades, two Japanese whaleback saws, iron garden furniture, antique French bakers racks,
The sale concludes with several lots of estate jewelry as well as gold and gold filled pocket watches.

The gallery is open for payments and pickup Tuesday 11/25 from 10am to 3pm and daily that week 9-3:30 except for Thursday, Thanksgiving.
