News from Hudson Valley Auctioneers
Auction Summary, June 9th 2025
Hudson Valley Auctioneers, located at 432 Main Street, Beacon, New York will present an unreserved antique and estate auction with absentee, phone and online bidding through Liveauctioneers.com on Monday June 9th at 5:00 PM EST. In house previews are Sunday 6/8 from 1pm-5pm and Monday from 2pm-4:30pm or by appointment beginning 6/2.
The sale includes the remaining select contents of the Richard Ramsdell's long closed Chester Square Antiques building and the choice contents of the historic Yelverton Store and Inn in which he lived for almost 50 years. " Rick" had completely furnished the inn and meticulously curated the contents with the desire to donate all to the local historical society, a plan that didn't reach fruition. Expect a large NY stoneware collection, lots of lighting, country and period furniture, textiles, lots of hearth items, fine baskets, several ash burl bowls, needleworks, decoys, oriental carpets, several fine portraits, antique and reference books and early glass.
Several other estates contributed continental furniture, hundreds of ounces sterling flatware and hollowware, estate jewelry, a fine Parzinger sideboard and other mid century furniture and decorations, a clock collection, 4 vintage pinball machines and many other items of interest. The city of Beacon decommissioned a fire department originally formed in the 1880's and have consigned 3 silver plate engraved chief horns, spelter statues and oak chairs and benches.
