Art pottery, several clocks, and Victorian wicker precede a rare offering of Art Deco lighting, art and jewelry by artist Paul Lobel directly from the estate of a family member.
More Art Deco such as Nichols Chinese rugs, a rare Frankart lamp, a 1970's woven wall hanging by Alan Davie "Zen Mat No. 1", Icart etching and several vintage cash registers are in this group.Artworks by Edzard Dietz, John Callow, Albert Schroder, William Davison among others lead into another group of Chinese watercolors.

Fine jewelry and coins from a Pennsylvania estate, clocks including LeCoultre and Longines, and a group of 8 excellent chandeliers led by a large brass and ostrich egg 12 arm fixture will lead into antique maps, an antique convex eagle mirror and the last group of Chinese artworks.
Over the years HVA has had the opportunity to help longtime dealers and collectors help disperse old business stock, private holdings, storage units, projects and the like. Session 1 of this sale ends with 100 plus lots from a long held storage unit of William Straus, one of the early MCM aficionados.
The storage yielded mostly mid century furniture and lighting from the former holdings and NYC store with an emphasis on Russell Wright designs, George Nelson, Herman Miller, Gilbert Rohde, Walter von nessen and others from the period.
Session Two immediately following, the pace as well as the diversity increases as the 100 lot an hour portion of the auction begins. As interesting as the online session but with much more lighting and Empire and Victorian furniture as well as groups of mid century mixed with lots more art, china and glass. As usual lots of jewelry and sterling including hollowware and flatware sets are sold in this part of the sale and this auction is no exception. The following 200 lots are a continued mix of great smalls, furniture and art.
